Quinceañera Choreography Business Startup Package

Start the Quinceañera Choreography Business Your Town Has Been Waiting For

Fairytale Dances has been choreographing quinceañeras since 2008. Now we’re sharing the packages, pricing, contracts, and rehearsal systems we use, so you can bring beautiful court dances to families in small towns and rural communities that don’t have many options.

You can dance. The business part is what's hard.

If you live in a small town, you’ve probably seen it: a family plans a beautiful quinceañera, then drives hours to find a choreographer, or ends up with a waltz pieced together from online videos the week before the party. The families are there. The love for the tradition is there. What’s missing is someone local who can do it well.
Maybe that someone is you. You know how to teach a waltz, and you’ve helped with a court or two. But when it comes to turning that into a real business, the questions pile up:
  • Are there enough quinceañeras around here to make this worth it?
  • What should I charge, and how do I price in all the driving?
  • How do I find families when there’s no big local quince scene, no expo, and no dress shop on every corner?
  • What do I put in a contract? What if a family cancels a month before the party?
  • How do I run rehearsals when the dancers live in three different towns and half of them don’t show up?
  • Can I post the videos? Do I need a waiver?
Most business advice for choreographers assumes you’re in a big city with a steady stream of clients. Rural choreographers need a different playbook. This is that playbook.

Hi, we're Fairytale Dances

We started Fairytale Dances in July 2008 with one goal: to help every quinceañera feel like the star of her own fairytale. Since then we’ve grown from choreographing waltzes to offering full court routines, surprise dances, and our yearly Miss Fairytale program.
Along the way we learned a lot, often the hard way: how to price so we weren’t losing money on travel, how to write contracts that protect everyone, how to keep a court on track when life gets busy, and how to turn happy families into the referrals that keep a calendar full.
We built this package because we kept hearing from choreographers in places where there just aren’t many options for families. You don’t need to figure it all out alone. We’ve already made the mistakes so you don’t have to.

What's Inside

Eight modules that take you from "I love to choreograph" to "I'm booked"

1. Our story (since 2008)

How Fairytale Dances started, what we wish we’d known in year one, and the principles that still guide every booking.

2. Is there a market near you?

A practical way to size up demand in a small town: churches, event venues, dress and party shops, local Facebook groups, and the community connections that tell you whether families are looking.

3. Building your packages

How to structure offers families understand: waltz only, full court routine, and surprise dance. Plus how to build travel into your pricing so long drives don’t eat your profit.

4. Finding clients without a big local scene

Ways to get in front of families when there’s no quince expo in town: partnering with churches, venues, and dress shops, showing up in community Facebook groups, and turning every party into your next referral.

5. Contracts and retainers

Example contract templates, how to set and explain your retainer, cancellation and rescheduling policies, a media release, and a liability waiver. (Templates are educational starting points, not legal advice. We’ll show you how to get them reviewed by a local attorney.)

6. Running rehearsals

Systems for courts that are spread out across towns, handling no-shows, using practice videos so dancers can rehearse at home, and working with parents as partners instead of problems.

7. Do's and don'ts

The lessons we learned over the years, laid out simply so you can skip the painful ones.

8. Growing your business

When to bring on assistants, how to make the most of expos and community events, and how to create a program like Miss Fairytale that builds community and a brand.

Purchase Terms

  1. Eligibility. This package isn’t sold to anyone whose business is or will be located in California, or who serves clients in California. At checkout, the buyer confirms in writing that their business operates outside California. If that turns out to be false, the license is void and no refund is owed.
  2. Protected Market. The buyer won’t operate, advertise, or offer quinceañera choreography services in California. This restriction has no end date.
  3. Non-solicitation. The buyer won’t solicit Fairytale Dances clients, dancers, or staff. This restriction has no end date.
  4. Name and content. The buyer won’t use the Fairytale Dances name, logos, Miss Fairytale, videos, or choreography, and won’t resell, share, or republish the materials. The license covers one business, for its own use.
  5. Done-For-You. Done-For-You work is delivered only for the buyer’s confirmed location outside California.
  6. Referrals (optional). The buyer may send Fairytale Dances any travel requests they can’t cover. Fairytale Dances pays the buyer 10% of the booked retainer on each referral that books.
  7. Breach. If the buyer breaks these terms, the license ends with no refund, and Fairytale Dances may seek an injunction.
  8. Payment plan. The first $500 payment is due at signup. It’s the non-refundable retainer and reserves the build. The second and third $500 payments are due on the 1st of each of the next two months. Final files and the website handoff are released once all payments are made. If a payment hasn’t been received within 5 days after the 1st, work pauses until it’s paid.
  9. Coaching. Coaching is billed monthly through Square and renews automatically until the buyer cancels. Cancelling stops future charges, and past months aren’t refunded. Coaching is only available to eligible buyers outside California.
  10. All sales final. The Starter Guide and the Pro Kit are digital products delivered immediately after purchase, so all sales are final and no refunds are given. If a file is damaged or missing, contact info@fairytaledances.com and we’ll send a working copy. Upgrading from the Starter Guide to the Pro Kit is still available for the $200 difference. Done-For-You retainers are non-refundable, as covered in Section 8.

Frequently asked questions

It was built with rural and small-town choreographers in mind, because that’s where families have the fewest options and where most business advice doesn’t fit. But the packages, contracts, and rehearsal systems work anywhere.
Yes. This package teaches the business side of quinceañera choreography: pricing, packages, contracts, finding clients, and running rehearsals. It doesn’t teach you how to dance or choreograph. You should be comfortable teaching a waltz and leading a court.
No. The templates are educational examples based on how we run our own business. Laws vary by state, so every template should be reviewed by a licensed attorney where you work before you use it with clients. Module 5 explains what to bring to that review.
That’s exactly what Module 2 helps you figure out. We walk you through how to look at local churches, venues, dress shops, and community Facebook groups so you can make a realistic call before you invest a lot of time or money.
Module 3 and the pricing worksheet show you how to build travel into your packages, whether you charge by distance, by zone, or per rehearsal, so the families you drive to are covered fairly and you aren’t losing money on the road.

The Starter Guide includes PDFs. The Pro Kit adds editable templates you can customize.

Starter and Pro files arrive by email as download links right after checkout.

We’ll talk through your area, your packages, your pricing, and whatever questions you have.

Every choreographer’s needs are a little different. $1,500 is the starting price. After your consult, we’ll give you a clear quote before any work begins.

Yes. The Done-For-You build can be split into 3 payments of $500: one at signup, then one on the 1st of each of the next two months.

You can add coaching for $99 a month: check-in calls, help with pricing and marketing, and template updates. Stop whenever you want.

No, and you won’t be ours. We don’t sell this package in California, where we’re based, so you’ll be building your business in a market outside California. You’ll confirm your business is outside California at checkout. We’ll even send you referrals, and you can send us the travel requests you can’t cover.

Yes. Just pay the $200 difference and we’ll send you the Pro Kit files. Call or text 323-715-4555 or email info@fairytaledances.com.
